RECOMB 2015 takes place in Warsaw

Welcome to RECOMB 2015, the 19th Annual International Conference on Research in Computational Molecular Biology!

RECOMB 2015 is now history, the new RECOMB 2016 will take place in Santa Monica.

The Best paper award was given to David Manescu and Uri Keich for their work entitled "A symmetric length-aware enrichment test". The best poster award was given to Vladimir Shchur and Richard Durbin for their poster entitled "Tree consistent PBWT and their application to reconstructing ancestral recombination graphs and demographic inference". The test of time award was given to the paper entitled "Maximum Entropy Modeling of Short Sequence Motifs with Applications to RNA Splicing Signals" by Gene YEo and Christopher B. Burge originally presented at RECOMB in 2003.

The photos from the main conference are here, we also have a few photos from the satellite conferences.

The slides from Michal Linial's presentation about the ISCB are here.

The conference aims to bridge the computational, mathematical, statistical, and biological sciences. The conference features keynote talks by preeminent scientists in life sciences, proceeding presentations of peer-reviewed research papers in computational biology, and poster sessions on the latest research progress. As usual, authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit an edited version of the manuscript to the Journal of Computational Biology for the publication of a special issue.

The abstract book is available for download. Among other useful information, it contains all the poster abstracts and their division into poster sessions. The participants will receive a printed version, so please save the trees and do not print the whole document yourself.
